It would have been better to speak Arabic/French. In suchevents people have translation facilities, so why would they speak their language while you’re trying to make it difficult, and unfortunately shameful. This awful English, I’m sorry to say it but it’s reality.

لكي نحقق التواصل بيننا وبين العالم
فأي لغة تححقق لنا التواصل الفعال فهي مرحب بها
ما مشكلة العربية و الفرنسية بل و حتى الدارجة في هذا المقام الذي تتحدث فيه الوزيرة
فمثل هذا المقام لا يخلو من مترجمين بل يمكن حتى كتابة ما كانت ستلقيه بالانجليزية و لكن الالقاء بالفرنيسة التي تجيدها ما العيب في ذلك
أو يقوم أحد المغاربة المرافقين لها بإلقاء الكلمة بالأنجليزية مع الاعتذار للمجمهور ,,,,,,, يعني أن هناك ألف طريقة لتفادي هذه المهزلة المهينة للمغرب بلدنا العزيز أمام باقي البلدان

Can someone please tell me what language is she speaking? It’s a big problem in my lovely morocco . If she can’t speak English she should stick with Arabic or French. So embarrassing.
Cette femme est une incompétente de premier degré. Vous comprenez maintenant pourquoi le Maroc est classé 130eme pays dans le monde en termes de développement.
Cette femme est une fassia comme les 70% du gouvernement…Les fassis méprisent le peuple mais ils sont en réalité des incompétents. Les fassis doivent être virés du gouvernement et laisser les compétents et responsables gents gouverner.
Les fassis malgré qu’ils mettent leur enfants dans les missions françaises ils sont des nullards dans tout les domaines en particulier English. La seule chose qu’ils savent faire est mépriser les pauvres et les faibles et monopoliser la finance.
Son « discourt » est une honte et elle porte atteinte a l’image des marocains. Même un lycéen marocain parlerait mieux qu’elle. C’est une honte. Arrêtez de nous salir l’image déjà pourrie.

She made a good presentation, and she convyed a great message! IT’s ok to communicate with othes in a broken language, especially when she opoligized at the beginnig, you just don’t pay attention! I think she was great, and made a valuable point. Any one who made negative comment on her is simply void, and have no clue! Most of you creticized her based on language, but if you are smart, you would’ve recognized that most of non english speaking officials don’t speak well when making an english presentation! In sum, pay attention to your own english before creticizing others, ok?

What a pronunciation of English! It s terrible. Even her speech is full of grammatical mistakes. “I am arabic women” Can you imagine that. arabic is the language. You should have said i am an arab woman. I wonder who wrote for her that speech. She is reading like a 1st year elemnetary school student. A minister, they say! This is why our government fails in every sector. We should rebell against the fascist government. What a shame.

Even her English was poor, she was intelligent in keeping the audience to listen to her she has an innocent smile “meskina” she makes the listeners more sympathic with her, any way it’s time for her to listen to her speech again and again in order to know her mistakes and to help her self.

it’s not Arabic that is influencing her English. She can’t speak Arabic right as she should. We’ve seen her on TV on different occasions and always lots of mistakes. the language she was speaking was ‘Franglish’ . it’s time for Morocco to leave French behind and consider teaching English as a second language. not because i’m a an English teacher but simply because French is becoming more and more useless everyday. English is the language of science and economy. it is second language for almost all countries and it’s a language that everybody understands. it’s terrible disaster and a big insult to Morocco that a minister is making such mistakes.

This woman is a minister and went to represent Moroccan country in international event. WOOW, WOOW…. It is really shame. This reflects a bad image to our country. She is reading her speech with a heavy French accent, I am sure the audience will not understand her at all what she is saying. We have a weak government that why we are classified in the third world. We should change this government. What makes the situation worse, she begins her speech by presenting her apologize. She already has shown her weak point. The audience will judge you that you have a lower level of education. Madame never shows your weakness. If you can’t speak English fluently why don’t speak French? Or why don’t take one of them he or she can read your speech correctly? If you not able to speak English, there are many unemployed students with bachelor’s degree in English in front of the parliament. We need change as soon as possible

even though she does not speak good english , she made an effort. The people who are most critical of her english abilities are usually moroccans. I’m sure that the rest of people have no problem with her as long as they can understand the content of her speech. This bad habit of criticizing one’s ability to speak a language is a complex we moroccans have (عقدة) . we should get passed that and focus on the content. I lived in the US for many years and I can tell you that she probably speaks better than some americans themselves… especially in the south.

Her English is not that bad, she has a strong accent but that is OK. I could understand her. But I think she should have practiced more her speech and gave a better one. she speaks very fast and sounds tense although she is just reading her notes.

I am sorry to say that she failed in her own field delivering this speech in English. Is she ashamed of her native language, this does not mean French. All I can say is that she should step down, knowing what she did. she really needs to learn Morocco’s history which by virtue North Africa’s history when it comes to ethnicities in the region. she showed nothing but her own personal complexity and cultural inferiority.

salam,je me demande pourquoi on n’aime critiquer atel point que ce critique n’ aucun sense.je vous dis que ces gens qui les ont ecouter, on comprit et peut etre ils sont étoné que les marocain peuvent parler toute les langues,malgré que sa langue oficiel c’est arabe.pour moi elle a pu exprimer.
Je ne suis pas d’accord avec la plus part d’entre vous qui critique l’anglais de la ministre. Pourquoi devrais-elle parler l’anglais couramment et avec un accent parfait? Vous êtes vraiment complexé si vous pensez cela. Car, je rappelle, nous sommes des marocains avant tout. D’ailleurs j’ai entendu des hommes et femmes politiques des grandes nations telles que la Russie, la Chine, l’Inde, l’Allemagne et la France qui parlent pire l’Anglais que madame Skalli. Je vous invite donc de vous libérer de vos pensées régressives et de reconsidérer vos critiques
This shouldn’t be a minister from the 1st place! a minister should know AT LEAST 4 essential languages fluently including ENGLISH! & i bet other ministers have the same ”language” issues! This goverment has to be replaced ASAP!
I think she is better than Abbass. anyway the litte kids in Marrakech or Agadir speak english more fluently than most of our ministers

عجبا لتدخلات بعض الناس التي كتبت باللغة الانجليزية ,هده التدخلات اصلا بها اخطاء لا يفعلها مبتدئ في هده اللغة. و يريدون ان يفهموننا انهم احسن من هده السيدة و انهم ضليعين باللغة , كما يقال في بلدنا الحبيب ( الشبكة كتعيّب في الغربال) .

this leacture made by the minister reflict the importance of english as an international language .i still wonder how can we adapt french as an important language when it belongs only to one country[france[ while we egnore the most useful language. nowadays,french is the language of poor countries.we will never get devlopped reckoning on french.i am waiting for the day when english replace french in morocco.and i feel it’s approaching.
This lady made us feel terrible since she’s moroccan. how could she be a representative of our country if she’s unable to show fluency in english ? how did she get the job in the first place ? did she take the english exam? i doubt it. anyway, that’s why we keep calling for deep changes in our country, so everyone would get what they deserve.

Je crois qu’il était bien pour l’image de Mme la ministre de penser à sa propre formation et je crois qu’elle avait assez de temps depuis la mise en place du nouveau gouvernement pour faire des cours d’anglais au lieu d’humilier les marocain de la sorte.
